Designer Dogs

I am curious what you all out there in the Doggy world think about the so called evolution of "Designer Dogs". You know what I am talking about...Bugs (beagles/pugs), Frenchtons (frenchbulldogs/boston terriers)Bossy Bullys (bulldogs, frenchies and bostons all mixed together), I pick on these because its a mixture of several breeds I care deeply about. The resulting puppies from these mixtures are nothing more then what they are.... A MIXED BREED DOG!! While there is absolutely NOTHING WRONG with a mixed breed dog, there is something very wrong the the amount of money the average joe has to spend to get one. From $600 to 1100!!! Now that my friends is just someone out there to make a buck. Have any of you read the contracts? NO reputable/responsible will ask for a down payment to "HOLD" a puppy. No where in the contracts does it say that if for some reason you can no longer keep your precious wonderful puppy that they will ALWAYS be there for you to take the dog back at any stage in its life. Only reputable and responsible breeders do that.
My mom told me that this rescue group has taken in 5 of these mixes from SW Washington state, all had to be put to sleep because their temperment was so bad it was scary. She even said they were evaluated by excellent trainers that work with our most difficult dogs. So sad because it was not the dogs fault, it is just poor genetics and breeding practices.
Please let us know your thoughts and opinions.

A long absence...

Hi there everyone!! You have probably wondered what happened to me these past few months huh? Well I have been taking an extended vacation. Some of you know and others dont know, I suffer from vaccine induced epilepsy. My longest between cluster seizures has been almost 3 months, normally I cluster every month almost to the day. I have been just chillin and enjoying these past 6 months.

Well now I am back and ready to get back into it again. Thank you all for your patience during my absence.

My first big news to report is Charlie Brown has a clean bill of health and is available for adoption!! Charlie has been with us the longest, October 2008. His foster mom and dad have done the best job with him. I can't wait to see who will be the lucky family/person to adopt him.

There were 9 bulldogs come into the program in January, Baxter, Prudence,Shady Rose, Duke, Oakley,Hank, Bandit, Diesel from Olympia (we get a lot of Diesels) & Bentley. Whew and thats only January. I will post again with the next month and so on.

If any of you followers have any input, links, thoughts and ideas, please dont hesitate to let me know in the comment section or email my mom, cynder2958@earthlink.net

Gosh its great to be back.
